로마서 15:13
“소망의 하나님이 모든 기쁨과 평강을 믿음 안에서 너희에게 충만케 하사 성령의 능력으로 소망이 넘치게 하시기를 원하노라”
God's Hand Holds You Fast
Isaiah 41:10 comes from a time when God's people were facing something terrifying. The nation of Israel was surrounded by powerful enemies and felt completely alone. Into that fear, God spoke directly and personally. He did not give them a plan or a strategy, He gave them Himself.
Notice how personal these words are, God says "I am with you" and "I am your God." He does not say "I will send someone to help you" or "things will work out eventually", He steps in close and claims you as His own, that is the heart of this verse. Before God promises to strengthen you or hold you up, He first reminds you that you belong to Him.
The phrase "righteous right hand" would have meant something powerful to the original readers. In the ancient world, the right hand was the hand of strength and honor. When God says He upholds you with His righteous right hand, He is saying that His full power and goodness are working on your behalf. You are not just barely hanging on, you are being held by the strongest, most trustworthy hand in the universe.
So what does this mean for your Tuesday morning, or your sleepless night, or the hard conversation you have been putting off? It means you do not have to face any of it alone. Fear loses its grip when you remember who is holding you, worry shrinks when you trust the One who already knows the outcome.
Today, whatever is making your heart race or your stomach sink, bring it to God. Tell Him you are scared, tell Him you feel weak, then let this promise settle into your soul: He is with you, He is your God, and His hand will not let you go.
