Verse of the Day

Genesis 12:1-3

“Then the LORD said to Abram, “Leave your country, your kindred, and your father’s household, and go to the land I will show you. I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, so that you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you and curse those who curse you; and all the families of the earth will be blessed through you.”

Keep Going, The Harvest Is Coming

Paul wrote his letter to a group of young churches that were struggling. False teachers had crept in, confusion had spread, and the believers were tired. By the time Paul reaches chapter six, he is giving them practical wisdom for the long road of faith, and one of the most important things he tells them is simply this: don't quit.

"Let us not grow weary of doing good." That word "weary" is the key, it doesn't mean you stopped caring, it means you kept going for so long that you ran low. You served, you gave, you prayed, you showed up, and somewhere along the way the results didn't come the way you hoped. That's the moment Paul is speaking into.

The core truth here is that God works on His harvest schedule, not ours. A farmer doesn't plant seeds in the morning and dig them up that afternoon to check on them. He trusts the process, keeps working, and waits. Paul is asking us to do the same. God promises that faithful, steady obedience will produce fruit, but He never promised it would happen on our timeline.

This verse is for the mom who has been praying for her child for twenty years. It's for the Sunday school teacher who wonders if anything is sinking in. It's for the person who keeps choosing kindness even when no one notices. God sees every act of faithfulness, and none of it is wasted.

Today, if you feel worn down, take heart. You are not behind, you are not forgotten. The harvest is real, and it is coming. Keep planting, keep serving, keep trusting. The God who called you is faithful, and He always keeps His promises.
