Câu Kinh Thánh trong ngày

Ga-la-ti 2:20

“Tôi đã bị đóng đinh vào thập-tự-giá với Đấng Christ, mà tôi sống, không phải là tôi sống nữa, nhưng Đấng Christ sống trong tôi; nay tôi còn sống trong xác-thịt, ấy là tôi sống trong đức-tin của Con Đức Chúa Trời, là Đấng đã yêu tôi, và đã phó chính mình Ngài vì tôi.”

No Longer I, But Christ

Paul wrote the letter to the Galatians to a church that was drifting. False teachers had come in and were telling new believers that faith in Jesus wasn't enough, they needed to follow the old religious laws, too. Paul pushed back hard, and in Galatians 2:20, he gave a personal and powerful statements that echoes to this day: "I have been crucified with Christ". That's not a metaphor about trying harder or turning over a new chapter, Paul is saying that when Jesus died on the cross, something happened to every person who would ever trust in Him. The old self, the one ruled by sin and self, died with Christ.

That's the core truth here, salvation isn't just about getting your sins forgiven, it's about getting a new life, and that new life isn't something you manufacture on your own. Paul says, "It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me". The Christian life is Christ living His life through you and that changes everything. You're not just trying to be a better person, you're depending on a living Savior who actually lives inside you by His Spirit.

Paul then makes it personal in a beautiful way. He doesn't say Christ died for the world in some vague, general sense, he says Jesus "loved me and gave himself for me". That's not arrogance or blind faith, that's true faith. God's love isn't a broad policy, it reaches all the way down to you, by name.

So here's the practical question for today: are you living like the old self is still in charge, or are you trusting Christ to live through you? Surrender the day to Him, ask Him to lead your thoughts, your words, and your choices. That's what it looks like to live by faith.
